Algebra Level pending

There are a number of macaws in two trees. Suddenly, the third part of the first tree macaws flies to the second, which initially boasted the square of the macaws of the first tree. After, the half of the macaws in the second tree flies to the first tree that gets 48 macaws. What is the total of macaws?

(x-1/3x)+1/2(x62+1/3x)=48. => x= 9 where x is number of birds on first tree. Since second tree has the square of first tree, second tree has 81 birds. Therefore, total number of birds is 90.
