Suppose you have two long, parallel, conducting straws of radii r 1 , r 2 r_1,r_2 separated by a distance d > r 1 + r 2 d > r_1+r_2 .

Find the capacitance (in pF) of a section near the middle of the straws of length ℓ \ell .

Details

  • ℓ = 25 \ell = 25 cm
  • r 1 = 3 r_1 = 3 cm, r 2 = 7 r_2 = 7 cm
  • d = 15 d = 15 cm


The answer is 9.151.
