Magnetic Coupling

Suppose there are two coils of wire in close proximity to each other (but not touching): Coil 1 and Coil 2. Coil 1 carries an exponentially decaying DC current.

I 1 ( t ) = I e t / τ \large{I_1 (t) = I \, e^{-t/\tau}}

Will there be any voltage induced in Coil 2?

Yes No

Flux through the coil is changing so according to Faraday's Law emf is induced
