1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 = 100 \large 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10=100

This is obviously incorrect. You have to make it correct by removing some digits and/or plus signs (if you remove the plus sign between 1 and 2, you get 12)

What is the minimum number of digits and/or plus signs you have to remove to make the above identity correct?

Remove the + \large + between 5 \large 5 and 6 \large 6 .

Then we have 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 56 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 = 100 \large 1+2+3+4+56+7+8+9+10=100 , which is true. Done!
