Making Hay
A team of Hay-makers were assigned the task of scything two meadows, one half the size of the other.Half a day the team worked on the larger meadow. Then the team split into two groups. The first remained in the larger meadow and finished it by evening; the second team scythed the second meadow, but by the evening there still remained a portion to do; this was scythed the next by one hay-maker in one day. How many men were there in the original team?
