managing the queens

Computer Science Level pending

In a normal 8X8 chess board, how would you place 8 queens such that none of them can attack the other? remember that a queen can move vertical,horizontal and diagonal.

( there can be more than one solution). post the number of solutions you can obtain in the solution box. comment your answer and method in chess notations!!

I am sorry if you didnt get the solution right, I must have posted this as a note. The site required me to provide an answer and I went on to provide the number of possible solutions. I hope you enjoyed solving the problem.
