There are 5 lines in the given figure. Any two lines of this figure always intersects to form a point. That means any point of this figure lies on 2 lines. For all of the 5 lines to have 3 marked points on them, we have to mark 5 × 3 = 1 5 points, each point counted twice. So effectively we have to mark 2 1 5 = 7 . 5 points which is impossible. Hence it is impossible to mark the points to achieve such condition.
