Mass of the pyramid

The pyramid was made out of limestone from nearby quarries. A low estimate for the density of limestone (remember, we're trying to find the minimum number of people) is ρ = 2600 kg/m 3 \rho=2600\text{ kg/m}^3 . Given this density and the answer from the previous problem, what is the total mass of the great pyramid in kg ?

The answer is 6877000000.

From the previous problem we get that v = 2645000 v=2645000 and now we are given D = 2600 D=2600 The formula for density is D e n s i t y = M a s s / V o l u m e Density=Mass/Volume Rearranging the formula M a s s = v o l u m e D e n s i t y Mass=volume*Density M a s s = 2645000 2600 = 6877000000 Mass=2645000*2600=6877000000

From previous problem we have V V = 2645000 2645000 and now we have to find the mass of the pyramid.

D e n s i t y = Density = M a s s / V o l u m e { Mass }/{ Volume }

From this we have ,

M a s s = Mass= V o l u m e × D e n s i t y Volume \times Density

M a s s = Mass= 2645000 × 2600 2645000 \times 2600 which comes out to be

6877000000 \boxed {6877000000} kg 'which is the correct answer.

Mass = volume X density

by solving with above formula ,

ans=6877000000kg
