1 1 cm × \times 1 1 cm × \times 1 1 cm = 1 1 cm 3 ^{3}

Since 1 1 cm = = 10 10 mm,

10 10 mm × \times 10 10 mm × \times 10 10 mm = = 1000 1000 mm 3 ^{3}

We know that, 1 cm = 10 mm \text{1 cm = 10 mm} , so

1 cm 3 = 1 cm 3 × ( 10 mm 1 cm ) 3 = 1000 mm 3 \text{1 cm}^3 = \text{1 cm}^3 \times \left(\dfrac{\text{10 mm}}{\text{1 cm}}\right)^3 = \text{1000 mm}^3
