There is a trick because when you multiply by 10 (or its multiples) you are simply multiplying by 1 times 10 and multiplying by 1 does not make a difference. So if you have 20 38 20 * 38 you multiply 38 by the 2 in 20 and add a 0 at the back. 2 38 = 76 2 * 38 = 76 and you add a 0 and get 760 760 .

9 , 000 , 000 = 9 1 0 6 9,000,000 = 9 * 10^6 we ignore 9 = 3 2 9 = 3 ^2 because it unnecesarily complicates things.

900 , 000 = 9 1 0 5 900,000 = 9 * 10^5 again we ignore 9 = 3 2 9=3^2

9 , 000 , 000 900 , 000 = 9 1 + 1 1 0 6 + 5 = 8 , 100 , 000 , 000 , 000 9,000,000 * 900,000 = 9^{1+1} * 10^{6+5} = 8,100,000,000,000
