Mathematics Proved Wrong ! #1

Algebra Level 2

0 × 5 = 0 × ( 2 + 2 ) (Step 1)

⇒ ( 2 - 2 ) × 5 = ( 2 - 2 ) × 4 (Step 2)

⇒ 5 = {( 2 - 2 ) × 4}/( 2 - 2 ) (Step 3)

⇒ 5 = 4 (Step 4)

Step 3 is wrong. Step 2 is wrong. Step 4 is wrong. Step 1 is wrong.

(2-2)/(2-2)=0/0=indeterminate .. bcoz some-people may think that 0/0=-infinite or,+infinite... some-other may consider it as 0/0=1.. so really it's not possible to determinate..

Step 3 is the wrong one since if we do the calculation: 5={( 2-2) x 4} / (2-2) it would give us the result 5= 0/0 which would be impossible to 5 to be equal to. Thus this invalidades the step 3. Since 5 needs to be equal to something that makes 5. As an example: 5= 2+3 or 5=3+2 Its impossible to 5 equals 0 or 5 equals -1.

i don't think so... 0/0 has no answer at all, just like 1/0 has no answer as well.

You divide by 0 in step 3.
