Max. number with least sum of divisors.

Let a number be denoted by 'X' and sum of all its divisors be 'N' where ( X , N ) Z X,N)\in Z .Find the maximum value of X less than 10,000 such that it has minimum value of N .


The answer is 9999.

A number has both positive and negative divisors.There is no mentioning of word 'positive' and also it is given that ( X , N ) Z (X,N) \in Z . Hence,sum of all divisors is always 0 which gives the max. value of X as 9999 .
