Maximum value of Y coordinate!

A ray of light enters into a thick glass slab from air as shown in figure. The refractive index varies as μ = ( 2 3 y ) \mu =(2\sqrt3 - y) .

If width of slab is very large then maximum value of y y -coordinate of the ray is?

3 3 2 \frac{3\sqrt3}{2} Insufficient data \infty 3 2 \frac{\sqrt3}{2}

shouldnt that angle be measured from the normal i.e it should be 30 degrees,bro..then the value of y turns out to be negative and hence the ans is not right,see over it..

isn't the value of refractive index at y max becoming less than one according to the solution
