Amy and Lynn undergo the same angular displacement Δ θ \Delta\theta during a given time interval Δ t \Delta t , so their angular velocities ω = d θ d t \omega = \frac{d\theta}{dt} must also be equal.

However, since their distance from the center are different, that is, r A > r L r_A > r_L , then their linear velocities, which is given by v = r ω v = r\cdot{\omega} are also different, that is, v A > v L v_A > v_L . Which means that, their radial acceleration a r a d = v 2 r a_{rad} = \frac{v^2}{r} are also different, with a r a d , A > a r a d , L a_{rad, A} > a_{rad, L} .
