Metals galore!

A 50 m l 50ml graduated cylinder was filled with 15.9 m l 15.9ml of water. 30 g 30g of an unknown metal, in the form of small pellets, was added to the graduated cylinder, causing the water level to rise to 17.3 m l 17.3ml . What metal was added to the cylinder?

Tin d = 7.26 g / c m 3 d = 7.26 g/cm^{3} Copper d = 8.94 g / c m 3 d = 8.94 g/cm^{3} Platinum d = 21.5 g / c m 3 d = 21.5 g/cm^{3} Iron d = 7.78 g / c m 3 d = 7.78 g/cm^{3}

Density=mass/volume =30gm/(17.3-15.9) =21.5gm/ml. (1ml=1cc)
