Given the line segment P Q \overline{PQ} with P = ( 12 , 34 ) P=(12,34) and Q = ( 32 , 14 ) Q= (32, 14) , the midpoint of the line segment can be expressed as ( a , b ) (a,b) . What is the value of a + b a+b ?

a=(12+32)/2 = 22

b=(34+14)/2 = 24

a+b = 22+24 =46
