----> Normal Speed : x=d/t -----(1) ----> New Speed : (4/5)x=d/t+10 -------> 4xt +40x=5d ------(2) Subtract 1st Equation from 2nd we get d = 40x Substitute value of d in any of these equation we get t=40.

x=40x/t ----> t=40 .

let the normal Speed be x so : x=d/t or tx=d-----(1)
and new Speed be (4/5)x so equation becomes as (4/5)x=d/(t+10) or 4xt +40x=5d ----(2) multiply eq (1) by 4 Subtract it from equation (2) we get d = 40x Substitute value of d in any of these equation we get xt=40x..--> t=40 .

(4/5)(x+10)=x where, x is the man's regular time.

solving fr x we get x = 40 minutes
