First, we need to find out the productivity (how much work they can do at a time) of 4 boys which is: 1 T i m e \frac{1}{Time} = 1 10 \frac{1}{10}

Now we need to find productivity of 1 boy which is: 1 10 \frac{1}{10} X 1 4 \frac{1}{4} = 1 40 \frac{1}{40}

Productivity of 3 boys: 1 40 \frac{1}{40} X 3 = 3 40 \frac{3}{40}

Work done by 4 boys in 3 days: 1 10 \frac{1}{10} X 3 = 3 10 \frac{3}{10}

Remaining work: 1 - 3 10 \frac{3}{10} = 7 10 \frac{7}{10}

Remaining time to complete rest of the work: 7 10 \frac{7}{10} X 40 3 \frac{40}{3} = 28 3 \frac{28}{3}

I agree. More interesting than the usual problems of this type

(Just do (1-(1/10 3)) (40/1*3)= 28/3 - That's the answer. It's harder to do then the one above^ So Kushagra answer is better then my one) - William
