Move something

Logic Level 2

62 63 = 1 \large 62-63=1

This is obviously incorrect. In how many ways can you move a digit or a line to make it correct? (The digit does not necessarily need to be the same size after it has been moved)

The answer is 2.

Move one of the lines of the equal sign to the minus sign therefore making it the new equal sign. 62 = 63 1 \large\boxed{62=63-1} Another solution would be to move the 6 of 62 to the power of 2 2 6 63 = 1 \large\boxed{2^{6}-63=1}

shouldn't it be 3 as you could tilt one of the lines in the equal sign to make it 62-63<1

Then you would be moving two lines, that's not legal in this question.
