Let I's age be X & Your's be Y.
First statement will yield, (X-Y) years before: X = 2[Y - (X-Y)] X = 2[2Y - X] X = 4Y -2X 3X = 4Y .......--> Equation No.1
Second statement will yield, (X-Y) years after: [X+(X-Y)] + [Y+(X-Y)] = 63 2X - Y + X = 63 3X - Y = 63......-->Equation No.2
Combining Equations No. 1 & 2 we get: X = 28 Y = 21
That is I's age is 28.
