The next logical step is to replace the wooden pole by a raft. A rectangular raft with a width of 4yd and negligible thickness floats down a canal, 6yd wide and approaches the T-intersection with a canal, 8yd wide. Find the raft with the maximum length to the nearest tenth , that will turn the corner and pass through the intersection.
