1 solution

s = θ 360 ( 2 π r ) s=\dfrac{\theta}{360}(2\pi r) where θ \theta is in degrees and r r is the radius of the circle

Convert π 5 \dfrac{\pi}{5} to degrees. We have

π 5 ( 360 2 π ) = 360 10 = 36 \dfrac{\pi}{5}\left(\dfrac{360}{2\pi}\right)=\dfrac{360}{10}=36

Apply the formula,

s = 36 360 ( 2 π ) ( 4 ) 2.513 s=\dfrac{36}{360}(2\pi)(4) \approx \boxed{2.513}
