the formula to get the summation of consecutive integers from 1 to.......... is = n × ( n + 1 ) 2 \frac {n \times (n+1 ) }{2}

so the summation will be= 500 × 501 2 \frac {500 \times 501 }{2} = 501 × 250 501 \times 250 = 125250 125250

smallest=1 largest=500 500/2=250 500+1=501x250=125250
