The net has 192.168.10.224 addresss with 255.255.255.224 subnet mask. Hows many nodes can be addressed in this net?

There are 5 zeros in subnet mask, that gives 32 addresses, but 2 of them are reserved - one as net address and 192.168.255.255 for broadcast messages. So we have 30 addresses.

Can you please explain in some more detail how this works?
