Sum of Shawn's score = 29.45 (9.8+9.75+9.9) Difference between Shawn and Nigel's score = 9.9. Therefore, any score Shawn could get above that would be beating Nigel so Any score less than the difference would mean that Shawn is not tied with Nigel, but scored less than him concluding that Nigel would win.
