Nigel had earned 453 points before his 200 point math semester exam. To get an A for the semester, Nigel must earn at least 630 points. What is the minimum number of points that Nigel can score on the test, and still get an A?

Note: If your answer is 500 points, type it in as 500.

Since He already has 453 points and to get A total points required are 630.So 630 -453 =177 Ans. K.K.GARG,India

Sorry, I forgot the question. I do not know the value of x and y.

But don't worry, I know the answer

He has got x marks

he needs to get y marks to get A grade.

So, to get y marks he should get y - x = 177

Hence, he should get 177 marks out of 200 in the semester exam to get A grade.
