No Pain, No Gain

Logic Level 2

The proverb "No pain, no gain," in the full form of a sentence, can be rewritten as "If you do not suffer any pain, then you will not gain any benefit."

Which of the following is a logical consequence of this?

If I didn't lose 10 pounds after New Years, then I must not have cut sweets from my diet If I stay up all night to study for my calculus final, I will receive good marks on the test If our football team won the championship, then we must have practiced hard

The statement is equivalent to "If you gained a benefit, then you suffered pain." The only statement that follows this pattern is the football one.

Of course, technically this is still not correct since the football team could have suffered a different type of pain, but it's fine for the context of the problem.
