sqrt(x+1) - sqrt(x-1) = 1. Rationalize it. Then 2/(sqrt(x+1) + sqrt(x-1) ) =1 .Rearranging, sqrt(x+1) + sqrt(x-1) = 2. Adding both the terms, we get , 2 sqrt(x+1) = 3. So x+1 = 9/4 .Hence 4x =5.

Rearrange the terms and then square both sides..u will get required expression being asked
