The series can be simplified as follows:

( 1 1 4 ) + ( 1 4 1 7 ) + ( 1 7 1 10 ) + . . . . . . . . . + ( 1 97 1 100 ) \large{\Rightarrow (1-\frac{1}{4})+(\frac{1}{4}-\frac{1}{7})+(\frac{1}{7}-\frac{1}{10})+.........+(\frac{1}{97}-\frac{1}{100})}

1 1 100 = 99 100 = 0.99 \large{\Rightarrow 1-\frac{1}{100}=\frac{99}{100}=\boxed{0.99}}
