The parallelogram (possessing no special properties of a rectangle or rhombus) has no line of symmetry.


But if you were just caught, then the most probably the lines you thought will be the lines of symmetry are:

Now the question arises, are the lines "the lines of symmetry" of the parallelogram?

Well, let's look the mirror image of the half part and then see if you were right. Here are the mirror images of the half parts:

So, we can easily conclude from the figure above that the mirror image is not same as the second half. Hence the lines represented are not the lines of symmetry.
