The number of blackbirds Calvin has is 24 24 . Calvin gives out 4 4 birds person, so he can give birds as his present to 24 4 = 6 \frac{24}{4}=\boxed{6} people.

But I think the real question we should be asking here is: "What the heck is Calvin doing with birds in a pie!?!?"

Also, that graphic is going to give me nightmares...

4 and 20 blackbirds so you hava all 24

Then

24 4 \frac{24}{4} = 6 \boxed{6}

Calvin has 4 + 20 black birds. Take this 24, and divide it by 4 per person, to get 6. Very simple.

First find out how many colly birds were in the pie...

4 4 colly birds + + 20 20 colly birds = = 24 24 colly birds

Then find the most number of who could have gotten a present of 4 colly birds in a pie...

24 24 colly birds in the pie / / 4 4 colly birds per person = = 6 \boxed{6} people

So you can give presents of 4 colly birds to 6 \boxed{6} people!
