1 1 raised to any power, excluding ∞, is 1 because 1 2 = 1 1 = 1 { 1 }^{ 2 }=1*1=1 , 1 4 = 1 1 1 1 = 1 { 1 }^{ 4 }=1*1*1*1=1 and so on. Even 1 0 { 1 }^{ 0 } , 1 0.1 { 1 }^{ 0.1 } , and 1 2 { 1 }^{ -2 } equal one!

Therefore, the answer is True. If we included the possibility that 1 could equal ∞, it would be 'impossible to know for sure', or undefined.
