our cars and their destruction

two cars of same mass, one with velocity 150 m/s and another with velocity 180 m/s coming from a certain distance 12m collide at a certain place (face to face ), which car would be less affected after 15min of collision ?

car 1 both will have same destruction car 2 none of these

First we have to calculate the momentum of both the cars. Actually guess truly works here. But mathematically the momentum ( the distance is just to confuse you )

                                                                                            first car ie; mass x velocity 
                                                                                                                    let the mass be m
                                                                                                                     m x 150m/s   p= 150

                                                                                            second car ie; mass x velocity
                                                                                                                           m x 180m/s p=180m/s

let the mass be common. Before and just before the collision their momentum remains same... after the collision as the mass is same the one with more p will be having less destruction.

indirectly the question says the one with more mass will be having less destruction. and here the distance is just to confuse you.
