jst simple there are 8 planet because pluto is a dwarf planet.....

There are 8 planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune

I got it right but you should really define planets. Does it include dwarf planets, TNOs(Trans-Neptunian Objects), plutoids, etc.

Oh yes! I forgot to mention that the ones the question refers to are the ''main'' planets of the solar system.
