Paper Ratio
Phil wants to cut his paper into a 1:3 ratio. He cuts off a strip that is of the ratio. If cuts out that same ratio again, he will have cut out of what he needs to cut out. What was the original ratio of the paper, in standard form?

If 2 * 1/10 is 2/3 of x - 1/3, then 3/10 is x - 1/3. 1/3 + 3/10 is 12/30, and 12/30 = 4/10 = .4
