A Memorial Day Parade by a High School Marching Band features 10 members from each of the 9 band sections along with a Drum Major They parade in rows of 2 with each row three quarters of a meter apart. Each band member takes up a fourth of a meter standing in attention. How long is the parade line (in Meters) starting from the front not counting the Drum Major?

Each row of 2 takes up 1 meter of space. therefore, 45 rows of 2 times 1 meter each is a total of 45 meters.
