If the cost of electricity is $3/kWh and assuming 30 days in the month, the required number of bulbs, N, computes according to:

( $ 3 k W h ) ( 1 k W 1000 W ) ( 60 W N ) ( 30 6 h ) = $ 162 (\frac{\$3}{kWh}) \cdot (\frac{1 kW}{1000 W}) \cdot (60W \cdot N) \cdot (30 \cdot 6h) = \$162

or N = 5 b u l b s . N = \boxed{5} bulbs.
