2 .5X(1+2 .5) = 350

2 . 5X = 100

X= 40

2.5 times (1+2.5) = 350, simplifying, x = 40...

350/2.5 = 140 / 2.5 = 56 what am i missing ?

(40*2.5 ) * 2.5 = 250

Yeah, I hit 56 as well, and said I was Incorrect and that the correct answer is 40

According to the given condition, 250\100x+250/100(250/100x)=350 , 2.5x+2.5(2.5x)=350 , 2.5x+6.25x=350 , 8.75x=350 , x=40 .
