perfectly banked

Let w w a curve of radii 88 m 88 \text{m} is perfectly banked for a car which velocity is 75 km/h 75 \text{km/h} . What should be the coefficient of static friction for a car does not skid when traveling at 95 km/ h 95 \text{km/ h} ?

The answer is 0.22.

)First of all convert all data into SI units. Then find the angle of banking by v 2 = t a n θ × R c o s θ × g v^2=tan \theta \times R cos \theta \times g Then to find the coefficient of friction use v m a x = ( r g ( t a n θ + μ ) 1 μ t a n θ ) 1 2 v_{max}= \Bigg ( \frac{rg(tan \theta + \mu)}{1- \mu tan \theta} \Bigg )^{\frac{1}{2}} Where r = R c o s θ r =R cos \theta
