Can we solve this algebraically? If so, find x x to four decimal places.


The answer is 0.3833.

Can we really solve this equation without using graphs???

May be approx. Expansion of lnx can be used

You can also use iteration. Solve to get x = 1/(2^(x+1)). Pick an x = 0.1, plug it into the right side and get your new x guess. Then repeat the process. By repeated iteration, you'll get the answer.

@Igmut Schnoll Well, if we really wanna iterate, then we can also use the Newton Raphson method.....
