Since the acid has been diluted much, the H+ concentration on water will also be considered while calculating the pH. This will bring the pH between 6 and 7(closer to 7).

Doing this we r violating LEE CHATELIER'S PRINCIPLE, since when H+ concentration increase on one side then reaction proceeds in other direction. So for we need to calculate by conventional equilibrium solving method . and answer comes in the same range but is more exact =6.975
