There are 5 action movies, 7 comedies and 16 dramas. So, there are a total of 5 + 7 + 16 = 28 5+7+16=28 movies to watch.

Now, since 1 movie will be seen, then we have to select a single movie out of the 28 movies to watch. So, we have 28 C 1 = 28 28C1=\boxed{28} choices.

But are all the movies are screened all the time?

How is that relevant to this case? Here, we are just asked about how many choices the person has, and since there are 28 movies to watch. The person, thus, has 28 choices.

The last part is redundant.

Yup, I know but there are still some people who need explanation or they ask very stupid questions.

simple logic can also be applied jst 1 to watch nd 28 choices

There are 28 movies in total and 1 movie to watch. So, we have 28 choices for a movie.

Each movie is a choice. So 5+7+16=28

all we have to do is add the three: 5+7+16, since only one movie is needed. so there are 28 choices...

Add them up: 5 + 7 + 16 = 28

chal be...

The number of choices is basically 5 + 7 + 16 = 28 5 + 7 + 16 = \boxed{28} .

To figure out how many choices you have for what movie you want to watch, you add together all the different choices. When you add the 5 action comedies, 7 comedies, and 16 dramas, you get 28 different choices. The correct answer is 28.

total no.of movies=28 in those, we have to select 1 movie so, no.of ways to select one movie = 28 c
1

                                                              =28

5C1 + 7C1 + 16C1 = 28 ways .......... combination is used because you have to choose between them .... choose 1 from 5 means 5 combination 1 .... similarly ... 7C1 and 28C1

by permutations and combination approach u can understand logic that u have as many choices as films.......

the total no of movies that r going to run on that day are (5+7+16=28)....... therefore tha numer of ways to watch a movies r in 28 ways that is u can wat any one among all the 28 ...hence you have 28 ways....

simple.... total no.of movies = 5+7+16 = 28 ; Now out of 28 you have to choose 1 .. so you have 28 choices in your hand !!

5 + 7 + 16 = 28

All you have to do is add 5,7 and 16 and put the answer in the box

5+7+16=28

All the events are disjoint so using the addtion principle of Counting we have 5 + 7 + 16 =28 choices
