• Mike can eat a pizza in 5 minutes

• There grandfather can eat a pizza in 20 minutes

If Lucas , Mike and their grandfather starts eating the same pizza at the same time , then how many seconds does it take to finish the pizza?

1 pizza in four minutes is the same as 5 pizzas in 20 minutes.

1 pizza in 5 minutes is the same a 4 pizzas in 20 minutes.

The grandfather has 1 pizza in 20 minutes.

Therefore, the total number of pizzas Lucas, Mike and their grandfather can have in 20 minutes is 5 + 4 + 1 = 10.

This means that they can have 1 pizza in 2 minutes which is 120 seconds.

They can eat the pizza 1 4 \dfrac{1}{4} + 1 5 \dfrac{1}{5} + 1 20 \dfrac{1}{20} = = 1 2 \dfrac{1}{2} in 1 1 minute.

Therefore they can eat the pizza in 2 2 minutes or 120 120 seconds.
