Lina got high marks in math , her friends decided to invite her to eat pizza with them , they were 4 including Lina , they were Nada , Farah , Linda , and of course Lina .. They ordered a big Super Supreme Pizza . After the Pizza had been Done , Lina had a problem , She is too lazy to cut the pizza and they were too , they had one pizza cutter only. They want to make less physical effort , they want the maximum pieces of pizza cuts they can produce by a specific number of cuts , note that (Size of the pieces may not be the same. In fact, her piece will be larger than the others.) .. if They made 10 straight line cuts made through the pizza ,

Solve the problem and find the maximum number of pizza pieces that 10 cuts can produce .


The answer is 56.

We can use the derived formula,

f ( n ) = 1 2 ( n 2 + n + 2 ) f(n)=\dfrac{1}{2}(n^2+n+2)

f ( 10 ) = 1 2 ( 1 0 2 + 10 + 2 ) = 56 f(10)=\dfrac{1}{2}(10^2+10+2) = \boxed{56}
