Polygonal Angles 3 – Vertex Angles

Geometry Level 1

An equilateral triangle has an internal angle sum of 18 0 180^\circ and each vertex has angles of 6 0 60^\circ . A square has an internal angle sum of 36 0 360^\circ and each vertex has an angle of 9 0 90^\circ . A regular pentagon has an internal angle sum of 54 0 540^\circ . What is the angle at each vertex of a regular pentagon?

The answer is 108.

The sum of all exterior angles for a convex polygon is 360, no matter how many vertices. Then one angles is the difference to 180 of one exterior angle. 180-(360/5)=108.

for equilateral triangle each vertex has angle = 180/3 =60 for square each vertex has angle = 360/4 = 90 Similar to pentagon each vertex angle = 540/5 = 108

In regular pentagon there are 5 sides therefore 540/5=108

540/5 = 108

Like here 180/60= 3 Which means its an equalateral triangle of having 3 corners Likely Pentagon has 5 corners and internal angle is 540 So 540/5= 108 It makes 108 degreee
