There is a town with a population of 45000. The population every year increases by a quarter of 100% every year. You have to find the population of the town next year and the population of the town last year.

For the first part of the problem. 25% of 45,000 = 25/100 45000 =25 450 =11250 45000+11250=56250 After one year the population should be 56250 people What not to do Unluckily for the second one we can’t just find 25% and subtract it from 45,000. The next part is proof - (25/100) 45000= 11250 45000-11250=33750 (25/100) 33750= 8437.5 33750+8437.5= 42187.5 Now that we know we can’t do it this way lets go to the solution Sorry for bad handwriting
