You just have to find the cost of 100ml petrol and then add the price to 900ml litre petrol.

this is wrong becoz when your machine will read 100 ml it will actually be 90 ml

Market price or Pm = 51.30

Real Price or Pr = (1000ml/900ml)*Pm

Pr= 57

x = ( 51,3 * 10 ) / 9 = 57

if the cost of 1000ml gasoline is 51.3rs, then the cost of 900ml gasoline should be less than51.3 rs..

The answer should be 56 if it is to be answered in integers. As Rs 51.3 is for 1000 ml and Rs 5.13 is for 100 ml, then 51.3 +5.13=56.43 & not 57.
