2 11 − 1 2^{11} - 1

= 2048 − 1 = 2048 - 1

= 2047 = 2047

Since 2047 ÷ 23 = 89 , 2047 \div 23 = 89, it is not a prime number \color{#3D99F6}\boxed{\text{it is not a prime number}}
