There are 12 face cards in a standard poker deck. There are 52 cards in total in a standard poker deck.

Let F F be the event that a face card is drawn. By probability by outcomes ,

P ( F ) = 12 52 = 3 13 0.231 P(F)=\frac{12}{52}=\frac{3}{13}\approx 0.231

The probability that a face card is drawn is approximately 0.231 \boxed{0.231} .

[(52,12){890000000000}] = 0.231 ---> where 52,12 is nCr & 890000000000 is an amenable number not to mention it's binary representation contains a prime number 13 of ones. There are 1326 combos of being dealt any two cards in the deck so it's binary representation ~1% of any 2 cards you could be dealt!! OR nCr(52,12)/15.694375! :)

There are 3 face cards in each suit. There are 4 suits. So 3*4 = 12 and there are 52 cards. Then 12/52 = 0.2307
