Well, both Germanium ( Ge ) (\text{Ge}) & Astatine ( At ) (\text{At}) are metalloids but,

Ge \text{Ge} appears earlier than At \text{At} in the periodic table.

Also, At \text{At} is a radioactive metalloid. It is really rare & has a half-life of 8.1 hours.

Moreover, Ge \text{Ge} is used for its metalloid properties.

I think Ge \boxed{\text{Ge}} should be the preferred answer.

Both At and Ge are metalloids.

Take a look at the periodic table. See that Ge and At are Metalloids? But if you follow trends, you can differentiate the two elements.
